Dwayne Johnson doesn’t need a superhero franchise when he’s got a new best friend

The real hierarchy of power is the friends we made along the way.

Having called it a wrap on Prime Video’s festive blockbuster Red One, Dwayne Johnson didn’t waste any time in living up to his “hardest worker in the room” moniker by immediately jetting off to the Grammy Awards.

Of course, he couldn’t help but do it with a helpful reminder that Teremana tequila is available to purchase and consume at your discretion, but he’s not one of the best self-promoters on the planet for no reason. Having instantly recovered from the disastrous Black Adam debacle, The Rock hasn’t wasted any time in putting his disappointment to one side.

He may have ended up sharing a table with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez at the Grammys, but it was another superstar in attendance who managed to catch his eye, with Adele fulfilling a long-held dream by finally getting the chance to go one-on-one with The Great One.

If you thought that Johnson would keep his social media activity restricted to one adoring post gushing all over the British songstress, then you’d be dead wrong, because he doubled down on his outpouring of admiration soon after.

Dwayne Johnson and Adele are the dream team we didn’t know we needed, and if he can get Ed Sheeran to make a bizarre cameo in Red Notice, then who’s to say he can’t get a fellow vocalist from the United Kingdom to do something similar in the future? You can bet Adele would jump at the chance, and Netflix just so happens to have a pair of back-to-back Red Notice sequels in development.
