Jeremy Renner shares recovery update following snowplow accident

Jeremy Renner has shared a part of his recovery in an Instagram story as the actor heals from injuries he sustained almost two months ago.

Back at the beginning of this year, we were all shocked to hear that Marvel actor Jeremy Renner was in a horrific snowplow accident that had left the actor in a “critical but stable” condition after he was run over by his own snowplow whilst helping a tow his nephews truck in adverse weather conditions. The actor is recovering, though after breaking 30 bones it’s going to be a slow one. He has recently shared a new video showing how that recovery is going on his Instagram.

Not too long after the incident, the actor shared a selfie from his hospital bed and he looked pretty dinged up, which isn’t surprising given that he had been trapped under a 14,000-pound snowplow. Renner had attempted to stop the snowplow when he saw that it was rolling in the direction of his nephew. He tried to get into the cab where he could apply the breaks and had to step on the moving treads to climb up but was immediately pulled under the left side track. He suffered from blunt chest trauma as well as orthopedic injuries.

It will likely take an immense amount of physical therapy in order to recover. Today, a fan shared one of Renner’s Instagram stories on Twitter which shows the actor undergoing an electric stimulation workout.

This type of treatment is used quite commonly in physical therapy as it can help strengthen muscles, block pain signals, and improve blood circulation.

We hope that this helps aid Renner in his recovery, though it is perhaps too early to tell if he will ever be back to his old self pulling the sorts of stunts he has as Hawkeye in the MCU. We can only wish him a speedy recovery.
