Millennials rejoice as Dwayne Johnson rings the bell on his million-dollar guacamole giveaway

Maybe now they'll finally be able to afford a home.

Everyone knows that the number one reason why millennials struggle to get onto the property ladder has nothing to do with a stagnant minimum wage, sky-high inflation, or an out of control housing market. No, it’s the rising cost of avocados and nothing else. Fortunately, Dwayne Johnson has come up with a solution.

Today marks the actor, producer, and embarrassingly failed superhero’s 51st birthday, and he’s decided to ring it in the only way he knows how; by partnering up with his own Teremana tequila brand to launch the latest edition of Guac on The Rock, which finds participating restaurants handing over $10 worth of guacamole to those who buy a drink made with The Rock’s bespoke booze.

It’s not the most obvious commercial team-up you’re ever going to see, but pairing tequila with chips and dip makes a damn sight more sense than Johnson’s ridiculous belief that adding almond milk and honey to the beverage makes for a tasty concoction. He might be a savvy business owner, but the thought of having him operate as a mixologist is enough to make the skin crawl.

It’s hard to even quantify just how much a million dollars of guacamole would be if you were handed it one fell swoop, even though there’s a 99 percent chance it would have turned brown long before you had a chance to do the math. If those darned millennials can tear themselves away from their cellphones long enough to take part, though, then maybe they’ll finally be able to afford a home of their own.
