Prince Andrew is now a free man after Epstein files disappear into thin air but he’s still ‘an entitled imbecile’ to the rest of his family

Prince Andrew may be free in the eyes of the law but that doesn't change his relationship with his own family.

Prince Andrew is likely breathing a sigh of relief after last week’s news regarding his old alleged pal Jeffrey Epstein. Once known as “Air Miles Andy” the Prince used to travel around the globe non-stop, but recent years have seen him become something akin to a shut-in after the revelation of his ties to the notorious New York financier left him fearing his own arrest.

After years of speculation and accusations Andrew is now technically a free man once more. Last week the DoJ announced that Epstein did not keep a list of his clients meaning anyone connected to him was more than likely off the hook. The Prince was one of the most high-profile and well-known buddies of Jeff’s and he has been evading the law for the past six years, refusing to answer questions about his knowledge of Epstein’s affairs.

The royal family still view Prince Andrew as an embarrassment

While the authorities are likely not going to be looking into Andrew any longer that doesn’t mean he’s completely in the clear. His public image is still at an all time low and it looks like his image within the royal family is not much better.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams claimed that Andrew “remains an embarrassment to the royal family.” Numerous controversies such as his apparent connection to a Chinese spy or his catastrophic Newsnight interview mean “he continues to be seen as an entitled imbecile.”

According to Fitzwilliams there aren’t a lot of places that Andrew can go without attracting negative attention so it’s unlikely he’ll go back to his old ways of jetting off around the world without a care in the world. The royal expert claims that Andrew must accept the public opinion that he is guilty if he is to have any hope of digging his way out of this hole.

“Unless he accepts that he has been found guilty in the court of public opinion and… [shows] some repentance or, at the very least, something positive which helps others, at his best, his future is well behind him.”

Of course, the Prince has so far remained adamant that he did not have that close of a relationship with Epstein. He also denied the accusations made by the late Virginia Giuffre. Somehow it seems unlikely he’ll crack now.

Buckingham Palace no longer speak to the Prince

According to a spokesperson for the Palace, the royals no longer speak with Andrew due to the fact he’s no longer a working royal. It seems as though he may be too far gone for any sort of reconciliation.

King Charles has also spent a great deal of effort in trying to get him removed from the royal lodge without much success. Andrew’s stubbornness demonstrates his entitled nature which likely further alienated him from the firm. He may be free from the law, but his family and the public won’t let him off so easily.
