‘When lies catch up to you, there’s no way out’: Prince Andrew’s ex-girlfriend mocks Virginia Giuffre after news of her suicide

News of Virginia Giuffre’s death took many by surprise late last week. The woman who accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her when she was underage took her own life mere weeks after telling the world she had days to live due to kidney failure.

While there were many questions surrounding the kidney failure story, nobody could have seen what came next. The exact details of her death remain shrouded in mystery although due to the accusations she made against Andrew, some have jumped to conclusions. Not everyone has been respectful about her death either. In fact, an ex-girlfriend of Andrew’s, Victoria Hervey, mocked Giuffre after news of her death broke.

What did Victoria Hervey say about Giuffre?

Hervey, who is a socialite and actress, shared a news article covering the death of Giuffre to her Instagram story along with the caption “When lies catch up to you, there’s no way out,” according to an article from the Daily Mail. A couple of hours later she followed up with a second post in which she expressed a little humanity.

“I have taken the decision to pause my posts on Virginia Giuffre at this time. Irrespective of the circumstances, suicide in anyone at any time is tragic, and in a young mother who has children, even more so.”

Despite seemingly realizing how insensitive her post was she did not take it down. As you’d expect, people called Hervey out for her decision to mock someone who had taken their own life. On X, one person wrote, “Imagine taking such glee in someone who has suffered as much as #VirginiaGiuffre.” Another wrote, “I hope Victoria Giuffre rests in peace. For Lady Victoria Hervey to talk such hate is distasteful.”

Who is Victoria Hervey?

Hervey is a socialite who was most well known for having a brief fling with Prince Andrew in the 90s. After that she moved to Hollywood to pursue a career in acting although that doesn’t seem to have worked out. She has aligned herself with many right-wing figures. She’s been photographed with Donald Trump, Ghislaine Maxwell, Steve Bannon, and plenty of others. On top of that she has always defended Prince Andrew despite their relationship ending a good 30 years ago.

Over the years Hervey was a major critic of Virginia Giuffre, accusing her of being a liar. It seems even after her death, Hervey is incapable of letting her vendetta go. As for Prince Andrew, he has yet to comment on the situation.
