Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage in ‘crisis’ as he has their life stuck in a ‘battle of survival’

It has been years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the palace and stepped down as senior royals. Technically, after their initial display of anguish at the alleged sufferings they were subjected to within the walls of the palace, the couple was expected to move on. On the surface, it appears that the two have carved their own place. But apparently, their life has been stuck in a “battle of survival,” thanks to Prince Harry, and has left their marriage in a “crisis.”

Even though Harry is no longer “Royal” compared to his brother, Prince William, the future king, it often appears as if he can’t let go of the title or the status it brought him. For example, his ongoing fight to get back the old security he and Meghan got as senior royals. While his logical answer explains that despite his voluntary demotion, he remains a celebrity, someone who will be a target for threats as much as any other royal and thus deserves the same level of security. Then there are the gazillion reports every other day claiming that the duke is still desperate to reconnect and reconcile with King Charles. All these actions have been deemed as his inability to let go of the past. 

Royal expert Tom Bower has detailed that these hopes are pointless, but Harry is “clinging on to his royal status.”

“Plus, Harry’s thinking is of ‘reconciliation’. That’s just totally unrealistic. There is zero chance of reconciliation because there is irreconcilable anger on the part of William and Kate.”

But despite the roadblocks, Harry and Meghan’s “battle of survival” keeps ramping up. It’s just that both have different plans to survive it.

“They have a crisis, because Meghan wants to be a billionaire celebrity and Harry doesn’t understand that world. He just literally can’t understand it, other than [understanding that] Meghan wants to be famous and not in the media all the time.”

This has become a point of difference between the otherwise close couple, as Harry, who has thrived on his status alone all his life, doesn’t understand Meghan’s point of view. He is allegedly unable to ‘understand where she’s coming from, which is that she worked phenomenally hard, struggled hard, and was constantly humiliated, and wants the security of finance and status.”

If we accept Bower’s assessment for a second, then the signs are there. While Harry is still doing everything as the Duke of Sussex, Meghan is only keeping the label as she carves a new life for herself and her family, whether it is through her Netflix deals or the launch of her new brand.
