‘She didn’t realize we were catching her on her lies’: Brenda Song accused of faking brain tumor

Allegedly, a tumor was not the only thing she faked.

Trace Cyrus has recently made very serious allegations against his former partner, Brenda Song. The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star is being accused of faking pregnancies, terminal illnesses, and other gravely serious, diabolical moves during their relationship.

Trace Cyrus is known for his music, but perhaps more widely for being the brother of the equally honest Miley Cyrus. Trace and Brenda Song began dating in 2010, and by 2011, they were reportedly already engaged. The two were on and off for years, up until 2018, when Trace even released a song titled “Brenda” as a sort of grieving exercise for what once was.

Now, Brenda Song is married into another first-generation Hollywood “royal” family — the Culkins. Her relationship with Macaulay Culkin has been well received by fans of the former Disney star, but considering they reportedly started seeing each other in 2017, there’s at least some overlap — and likely tension — between the three people involved in this story.

Trace Cyrus recently took to Instagram Stories to level a series of wild accusations at Brenda’s doorstep. And as expected, those claims didn’t stay confined to Instagram for long. They were captioned, screenshotted, and widely circulated. Pop Base in particular posted the claims on X, giving the accusations significant visibility.

Trace alleged that Brenda lied about having a brain tumor — a lie he claims was exposed by her own family, resulting in her estrangement from them. He also accused her of manipulative behavior, including faking pregnancies and even an abortion. Perhaps most seriously, Trace claimed Brenda stole thousands of dollars from him. According to him, these revelations were made through private investigations conducted without her knowledge. Trace stated, “She didn’t realize we were catching her on her lies.”

However, Trace provided no evidence to back any of his claims. It was a purely anecdotal tirade, and not a single person familiar with the situation has come forward to corroborate his story. Given that it’s now just his word, many fans have stepped forward to defend Song against the accusations. And they’re encouraging him to leave the mother of two alone.

That said, it gets more complicated. Apparently, even when the couple was still together, there were already rumors circulating about Brenda faking pregnancies. So for some longtime followers of their relationship, these new claims didn’t come entirely out of the blue. Their breakup wasn’t anything like the amicable Ben Affleck–Jennifer Garner split; it was acrimonious from the start, and there have long been murmurs from Trace’s fanbase that were dismissive — if not outright hostile — toward his ex.

Trace bringing all this up now definitely raises eyebrows. Maybe it’s something that’s been eating at him for years and he’s only just found the courage or emotional bandwidth to speak on it. But for many fans, it reads more like the bitter venting of an ex who’s had too much time to stew. Behind closed doors, it could be more complex than that — but until Brenda Song responds, it’s impossible to know for sure.
