Amazon Listing Reveals New Difficulty Mode For The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker HD

If Amazon's listing for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD is correct, and there is a good chance that it is, standing around gawking at Windfall Island's beautiful 1080p graphical upgrade might not be the only reason to pick up the remake when it launches this October for the Wii U. According to the online retailer, the game will also include a new higher difficulty level that was not present in the original GameCube version.

If Amazon’s listing for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD is correct, and there is a good chance that it is, standing around gawking at Windfall Island’s beautiful 1080p graphical upgrade might not be the only reason to pick up the remake when it launches this October for the Wii U. According to the online retailer, the game will also include a new higher difficulty level that was not present in the original GameCube version.

As spotted by IGN, the Amazon listing for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD casually mentions the feature in the game’s product description, which reads in part:

“In this definitive version on the Wii U console, you can experience the game in gorgeous 1080p graphics, manage your inventory and view maps on the Wii U GamePad controller, and even choose to take on a more challenging difficulty level.”

Nintendo has not yet confirmed if Wind Waker HD will include an optional higher difficulty setting, but the mere thought of a “Master Quest” for one of my favorite games in the Zelda series has already got me a little hot and bothered.

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD is scheduled to be released on the Wii U sometime this October. We will keep an eye out for any confirmation from Nintendo on Amazon’s listing and let you know as soon as anything is announced.
