Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD, the home console remastering of former Vita exclusive Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, is now available for download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, priced at $19.99. In the game, players control Aveline de Grandpré, the series’ first female protagonist, in 18th century-era New Orleans, and take advantage of some of her unique features, including a whip for traversal and the unique “persona” system, allowing for Aveline to switch between three costumes with different abilities and advantages.
The high-def rerelease takes advantage of the home console’s greater horsepower by adding additional graphical details and animations, remastered audio, and the inclusion of several new side missions and omission of several touch-centric minigames found in the original Vita version.
To promote the game, Ubisoft has released a new trailer today that showcases the graphical upgrade while giving a general overview on what to expect from the game. It can be viewed below.
