The first-person astronaut game, Adr1ft, from creator Adam Orth has had its PC release date confirmed by the man himself. The PC release date is set to launch alongside the Oculus Rift and both VR and non-VR versions of the game will be available from March 28th, with the non-VR version being available through Steam.
The story follows an astronaut floating through the wreckage of a devastated space station, with no memory of the incident that caused the destruction. As they progress, players will find clues that piece together the events of the incident, and attempt to repair the escape vehicle to return home.
Set to be an incredibly immersive experience, Adr1ft‘s recent CES demo reportedly nearly made a BBC reporter vomit after they spent some time with the VR version of the game. Suffice it to say that the non-VR iteration will likely be a much calmer experience…
Adr1ft is also set to come to the PS4 and Xbox One later this year, but the release date for the console versions is as yet unconfirmed.
