Binary Domain Receives First Gameplay Trailer

SEGA's Binary Domain received its first gameplay trailer today. The squad based shooter from Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi is set for an early 2012 release. Binary Domain will take a sci-fi setting and take place in the year 2080, in Tokyo. In the game "players must motivate and build trust with their team, adapt under pressure and make real time decisions knowing there will always be consequences that affect the squad and future missions. Humans must regain control of 2080 Tokyo and give the machines an unexpected ending."

Binary Domain will be a sci-fi shooter and take place during the year 2080 in Tokyo where humans must regain control from the machines. In the game “players must motivate and build trust with their team, adapt under pressure and make real time decisions knowing there will always be consequences that affect the squad and future missions.”

The game actually looks pretty cool but then again, you have to wonder if it’s actually going to stand out from the plethora of shooters that are released every year. Will it actually be unique or just another mediocre shooter? We’ll have to wait to see more from the game before we know. So far though, it looks to be shaping up nicely.
