Besides the introduction of a “dynamic cover system,” players will now be able to utilize a jump jet pack attached to their suit during battles in order to facilitate mobility and quick terrain traversal, which feeds into the eclectic range of weaponry on offer. Pistols, shotguns, sniper/assault rifles and melee weapons are all showcased in the footage, with BioWare confirming that there are no class restrictions on who can use what.

Additionally, three different weapon types will be available. For an example, Milky Way weapons will utilize ammo clips and traditional projectiles, and are geared towards shredding enemy shields efficiently. Tech, Combat and Biotic skills make a return, too, with each one championing a specific playstyle. This is the first in a new series of gameplay clips being released in the run-up to Mass Effect: Andromeda‘s release on March 21st, so expect more to arrive over the next few weeks.
