Forza Horizon 3 is trading the sun-kissed Australian Outback for snow and ice this December with the racer’s first major expansion. Initially teased last month and due to release digitally on December 13, Blizzard Mountain represents a completely brand new and standalone challenge for car enthusiasts as they attempt to become ‘King of the Mountain.’ Spread over more than 50 new events and challenges, Microsoft says the chilly add-on “tests drivers’ skills across extreme weather and brand new race types, including Hill Climb, Descent and Blizzard race events.”

Packed in alongside the new race types are new Bucket List, Blueprint and Rivals events, all of which will surely be required to unlock 28 new Achievements. Blizzard Mountain itself is described as a “mountain paradise for car fans,” that offers all-new types of terrain and weather conditions not available in the base game. Snow, blizzards, frozen lakes and slippery mountain passes are all the sorts of hazards you’ll need to endure at the high altitudes, and what better way to do that than with a collection of sparkly new cars?

Here’s what will be included:

  • 2016 Ford Gymkhana 9 Focus RS RX
  • 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck
  • 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4
  • 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B
  • 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept
  • 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck
  • 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car

As an added bonus besides the usual car pack contents, an additional Barn Find vehicle – cars hidden throughout the game world – will be included in Blizzard Mountain, so keep your eyes peeled on all those empty, inconspicuous buildings.

Blizzard Mountain is included as part of Forza Horizon 3‘s $34.99 expansion pass. No individual price has been announced as of yet, but stay tuned.
