A new trailer was released today for the Spec Ops Survival mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The co-op survival mode was on everyone’s tongues at E3 and Infinity Ward have released the first footage for it today with this brand new trailer.
Spec Ops mode was a massive hit in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the decision to bring it back for Modern Warfare 3 is fantastic. This time, Infinity Ward has added a survival mode to Spec Ops, which allows you to play on any of the multiplayer maps in a special mode that tasks players with one goal: survive!
You can play online or local co-op and for those feeling brave enough, you can also tackle it solo. While playing, you’ll earn virtual cash to spend on in game weapons, upgrades and ammo.
It looks like great fun and from the looks of the trailer, it seems like if you survive for long enough, things can get pretty intense. As expected, teamwork is a must if you’re going to hang in there and I can easily see this mode being where I spend most of my time in the game.
Modern Warfare 3 releases on November 8 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360
