Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare Reveal Trailer Catapults Activision’s Juggernaut Into Space; Modern Warfare 4 Remastered Confirmed

Infinity Ward blasts Activision's juggernaut into the inky blackness of space in reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Bringing an end to a week-long spiel of alleged retailer listings and enticing teasers, Activision and developer Infinity Ward officially blew the lid off 2016’s Call of Duty earlier this morning. Entitled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, much as the pre-emptive reports had suggested, there was also confirmation that Modern Warfare 4 Remastered will come bundled in with the shooter’s Legacy Edition.

Catapulting the annual franchise into the distant future, Infinite Warfare goes one step further than last year’s Black Ops III by introducing space combat in an installment that “returns to the roots of the franchise where large-scale war and cinematic, immersive military storytelling take center stage.”

Following a devastating and unprecedented attack on your friendly forces, Infinity Ward’s shooter has you take on the Settlement Defense Front “to defend our very way of life.” That’s a battle that will be fought across land, air, sea and space, and some of the action set pieces glimpsed in the trailer above look truly spectacular.

In terms of Modern Warfare 4 Remastered, it’s understood Infinity Ward executive produced the HD overhaul, with developer Raven – a stalwart of the Call of Duty franchise, particularly in the multiplayer department – taking point on development duties.

Below, you’ll find a breakdown of each edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, from deluxe Season Pass to the standard truckload of in-game bonuses.

  • Legacy Edition and Digital Legacy Edition ($80) -Includes both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
  • Digital Deluxe Edition ($100) – Includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Season Pass
  • Legacy Pro Edition ($120) – Includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Season Pass, collectible Steelbook, official game soundtrack, and additional digital items

The cat is out of the bag: Infinity Ward, returning to the helm after 2013’s Ghosts, will launch Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 4.
