Catwoman Takes Center Stage In Latest Injustice 2 Trailer

NetherRealm Studios has released a new trailer for superpowered brawler Injustice 2 today, this time focusing on giving fans a more in-depth look at Catwoman in action. Revealed previously in a trailer focusing squarely on the beat em 'up's female cast, it's not until now that NetherRealm has shown off all that the anti-hero can do. While she may not have abilities on par with other members of Injustice 2's ever-growing cast, Catwoman's feline reflexes and combat prowess means she shouldn't be taken lightly, as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy both find out first-hand in the trailer.

Equipped with a whip and a pair of razor-sharp claws as her primary means of offense, it appears as if nimbleness is Catwoman’s greatest asset, which is on full display in the trailer as she flings poor Harley around a high-tech facility like a ragdoll, only adding insult to injury by way of a finisher that sees the character drag Joker’s partner in crime around the arena atop a motorcycle.

Of course, given her history as both an ally and enemy of Batman’s, it’s no surprise that the Dark Knight himself makes an appearance, with NetherRealm stating that he’ll be attempting to discern where Catwoman’s loyalties lie during the events of the game.

Consistently walking the line between hero and villain, Selina Kyle’s pilfering past as Catwoman prevents Batman from ever placing his full trust in her. As the ashes of the Regime give rise to the sinister Society, the Caped Crusader must once again speculate where this thieving feline’s loyalties lie.

Injustice 2 is out May 16 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but before that day comes, NetherRealm and Warner Bros. still have a handful of characters to reveal, the most recent of which were Captain Cold and Scarecrow. You can check out the trailer, which also features Bane and Gorilla Grodd, for those two here.
