Ardent modders of CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have been granted a brand new challenge as the developer gets their game into a festive spirit. The Holiday Outfit Mod Contest starts today, encouraging the community to get creative and Christmassy!

The contest rules are simple, as specified by the game’s developers:

Basically all you have to do is create an outfit or holiday element for any one of the characters inThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt! It can be an epic armor for Geralt, a christmas hat for Johnny, or candy canes for Nekkers! Once you have your mod ready, just upload it to Nexus Mods with “Witcher Mod Contest” tag, available under the “file admin”, and contact us via the contact form below. Please include the link to your Mod — submissions without a link will be invalid.

While the fun of the contest sounds like plenty of reason to get involved as it is, CD Projekt Red are offering up one heck of a prize for whomever they crown as champion. One winner will be given an impressive replica of the sword (as seen below) that Geralt himself would have wielded so successfully throughout his many adventures.

Contest entrants have until January 5th to submit their entries to be in with a chance of winning one heck of a late Christmas present, courtesy of CD Projekt Red and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
