Darkstalkers Resurrection is bringing fans of the classic monster fighter two games in the franchise’s history: Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge and Darkstalkers 3. A wide range of new features are making their way into the game as well in an attempt to breathe new life into the franchise. If you’re a fan of taking your fighting skills online, you should be happy to know that Darkstalkers Resurrection builds upon the strong online systems previously introduced to us by Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition and Marvel vs. Capcom Origins.
What does this mean for you? Only an upgraded matchmaking system that includes additional options such as region matching, ping lock and ping display. In addition, the brand new Tutorial Mode contains trials that allows you to develop your skills with each of the Night Warriors. There’s nothing quite like practicing for a few hours to unlock the secret strategies of your favorite character, and then delivering a good ol’ fashioned beatdown.
With the content being an expansion of the core content, rather than simply a bundled pack, it seems that your dollars will be well invested indeed. With a slew of new features, Capcom is setting their sights on giving the Darkstalkers franchise one last life with Darkstalkers Resurrection.
