What keeps Magic: The Gathering and its video game counterpart Magic 2014 – Duels of the Planeswalkers from going stale is the multitude of cards and decks that are consistently being released for maximum enjoyment. If you’re the type of Planeswalker that’s more comfortable with a controller than a deck of cards, then rejoice, because the first expansion deck for Magic 2014 has been released.

Coming to PSN gamers today for only $2.99, the deck will also be released for XBLA, Android, iPad and Steam on Wednesday. The two new decks included, Unfinished Business and Bounce and Boon, promise to add plenty of new strategies to players’ repertoires.

Check out a short description of each below to find out how:

-Unfinished Business: Wake the dead! The creatures of the blue and black “Unfinished Business” deck refuse to rest in peace. Your spells will bring them back from beyond the grave to exact vengeance against your enemies

-Bounce and Boon: Summon creatures that enter the battlefield with a bang—then summon them again and again! The white “Bounce and Boon” deck keeps your opponents on their heels with a constant stream of life gain and battlefield manipulation.

For only $2.99, these decks promise to add a twist to normal gameplay, giving players the chance to stretch a bit and try out new strategies. Black and blue decks are notoriously tricky, and white cards make it much easier to keep the game going, so hopefully both decks will add hours of playtime to the already addictive title.

Are you still playing Magic 2014 – Duels of the Planeswalkers? Or are you already looking forward to next year’s entry into the series? Let us know if you plan on picking up this expansion in the comments, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated as more decks and other goodies are released.
