Set within the claustrophobic innards of a remote Atlas research facility, Descent will pick up directly where Carrier left off, with the remainder of the crew – toplined by Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan, Jon Bernthal and Bruce Campbell – banding together to hunt down a common enemy. Oz won’t be alone, however, with new “fused” zombies wreaking havoc across the high-tech water facility.

In order to put a stop to the infection once and for all, developer Sledgehammer is ensuring that you’ll be able to take the fight to the amber-eyed monstrosities with style using a new-fangled armament: the Trident Reflected Energy weapon. Bearing similarities to the famed Wunderwaffe DG 2 from World at War, the gun appears to shoot chained, highly-concentrated beams of energy into packs of zombies for maximum damage.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare‘s fourth and final DLC, Reckoning, will be available as a standalone purchase for $14.99, while season pass holders can get the add-on at no extra charge.

Descent will bring an end to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare‘s futuristic Zombies saga when Descent launches within the Reckoning DLC pack later today (August 4) on Xbox platforms. As per Microsoft’s exclusivity arrangement with Activision – one that it is drawing to a close – the add-on will remain on Xbox Live for one month before making its way onto PlayStation and PC systems.

Don’t miss the thrilling conclusion to the Exo Zombies saga, as Descent takes our four heroes to a deep water Atlas base in order to stop the source of the infection once and for all. Battle new enemies with enhanced capabilities, wield the powerful Trident Reflected Energy Weapon, and unravel the terrible secret that Atlas has been hiding. Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan, Jon Bernthal, Bruce Campbell, and John Malkovich star in this action-packed Exo Zombies finale.
