New Devil May Cry Trailer Shows Beautiful And Brutal Gameplay

When Devil May Cry was announced earlier this year, many long-time fans shrieked in horror as they were introduced to a man named Dante that bore absolutely no resemblance to the Dante we all know and love from the series. When Devil May Cry was announced earlier this year, many long-time fans shrieked in horror as they were introduced to a man named Dante that bore absolutely no resemblance to the Dante we all know and love from the series. Capcom, however, is hoping that bits of the adrenaline-pumping gameplay will show fans that this is the real deal.

A new trailer out of Gamescom today shows off some of the classic, fast-paced Devil May Cry combat, along with the over-the-top moves and signature swagger of Dante, the would-be demon hunter.

Interesting to note, throughout the trailer you can see glimpses of Dante with white hair, much like fans are used to. It could be interpreted that this is the new look of the “Devil Trigger” mechanic from previous games.

DmC is slated for release sometime in 2012. It’s being developed by Ninja Theory, (the folks behind Heavenly Sword, and published by Capcom.

Personally, I don’t know about this. As a die-hard Devil May Cry fan, this trailer is pretty cool, but I still don’t like the way Dante looks. Perhaps an alternate costume is in order?

Sorry, the video is currently unavailable.
