The image, which you can find below, is accompanied by the phrase "Whatever it takes," and depicts a Fortnite avatar holding Captain America's iconic shield.

It’s a cryptic message, no doubt, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to be gleaned from the tantalizing teaser. First and foremost, the poster, adorned with a Fornite X Avengers: Endgame logo, is clearly referencing a new collaboration rather than last year’s affair involving the Infinity Gauntlet.

With Cappy’s star-spangled shield dominating the image’s foreground, could it be the case that the superhero’s trademark weapon will be usable as part of the event? It’s certainly within the realms of possibility.

Aside from that, the image appears to be but a portion of a larger photo, implying that Epic has a sizable amount of content planned for the limited-time extravaganza. Could Iron Man, Thor and maybe even Hulk’s powers and abilities also be part of the fun with similar items? Wearable Hulk Fists would, after all, be a perfect fit for Fortnite‘s wide range of wacky weaponry.

Ultimately, we’ve no choice but to wait and see what Epic and Marvel have planned for the collaboration and it remains to be seen when, exactly, the crossover will go live. Epic’s provocative Tweet mentions April 25th, but it could simply be referencing the international release date of Avengers: Endgame. Either way, keep your eyes peeled right here for any and all news involving Fortnite‘s upcoming crossover as and when it breaks.

In the meantime, let us know what superpowered content you’re hoping to see as part of Fortnite‘s upcoming event in the usual place below.
