Still no word on an official release date at the time of going to press, though host Geoff Keighley did note that a second trailer for Breath of the Wild would premiere later in the show. Perhaps the Big N will narrow that 2017 release window then? March is currently the rumored corridor, but we’ll be keeping tabs on Zelda‘s next outing as things unfold in the Microsoft Theater.

One way or another, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild continues to impress not only from a visuals standpoint, but also due to the smooth, crisp gameplay of Link exploring a vast and lush open world. Feast your eyes on it up above and be sure to leave your early impressions, below.

As for the awards category, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was officially crowned Most Anticipated Game going into 2017. Other titles that were jockeying for that very award included Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Zero Dawn and Sony Santa Monica’s sequel/reboot, God of War.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is in development for both Wii U and the Nintendo Switch, and we’ll let you know as soon as an official release date is locked down.
