Grab Rayman Origins For Free As Part Of Ubisoft’s 30th Anniversary Celebrations

Throughout the rest of August, Ubisoft is giving away Rayman Origins completely free for all Uplay members in celebration of the company's 30th anniversary. The third of seven games being made available throughout the year, Origins was a renaissance of sorts for the iconic character, having been the first time a main series entry had been released since 2003's Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.

Fancy indulging in a spot of platforming fun this weekend?

Throughout the rest of August, Ubisoft is giving away Rayman Origins completely free for all Uplay members in celebration of the company’s 30th anniversary. The third of seven games being made available throughout the year, Origins was a renaissance of sorts for the iconic character, having been the first time a main series entry had been released since 2003’s Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.

Despite receiving critical acclaim, sales didn’t reflect the sheer quality of the platformer, although they couldn’t have been too bad, as a sequel – Rayman Legends – was released three years later, garnering a similarly warm welcome.

Don’t leave it too long to grab Rayman Origins, it’ll only be available to download until September, where it will be replaced with another yet to be revealed classic from Ubisoft’s back catalogue.

So far, we’ve had The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and the original Splinter Cell be made completely free as part of the generous campaign, but what’s next? Considering the popularity of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, we’ll be surprised if at least one of them doesn’t make the cut before the year’s end, but what do you want to see offered up in a silver platter? Sound off below and let us know!
