Injustice 2 Welcomes The Arrival Of Red Hood Next Week

Red Hood, the first of three DLC characters so far confirmed for DC brawler Injustice 2, is scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next week, developer NetherRealm has confirmed. As noted by Destructoid, the former Boy Wonder won't be available to download individually right away but rather, will be exclusive to owners of the beat 'em up's deluxe edition or the recently announced Fighter Pack 1.

Red Hood, the first of three DLC characters so far confirmed for DC brawler Injustice 2, is scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next week, June 13, developer NetherRealm has confirmed. As noted by Destructoid, the former Boy Wonder won’t be available to download individually right away but rather, will be exclusive to owners of the beat ’em up’s deluxe edition or the recently announced Fighter Pack 1, with an individual option due to arrive a week later.

Of course, if you do decide to go with either of the former options, you’ll also gain access to two additional characters – Starfire and Mortal Kombat loan Sub-Zero – as and when they become available. NetherRealm has yet to make any mention of when they’ll arrive, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it provide more details – and perhaps a teaser trailer – at E3. As for Red Hood, you can check out his gun-centric combat style in the above trailer, where he unloads several clips of hot lead into Batman’s current sidekick before he’s able to let loose so much as a single Batarang.

As the number adorning Injustice 2‘s first DLC pack would suggest, Red Hood, Starfire and Sub-Zero are just the beginning of NetherRealm’s post-launch plans and judging by a recent leak, we already have a pretty good idea as to who’s coming next. Another Mortal Kombat icon, Raiden, as well as DC characters Black Manta and Atom, all appear to be on NetherRealm’s to-do list for the future, although they’re by no means official.
