Internet personality xQc whips out obscenities for ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ detractors: ‘Suck my b*lls b*tch!’

The 'Hogwarts Legacy' dilemma turns into an all-out social media war.

A lot of people on social media really hate the fact that some are not only entertaining the notion of buying Hogwarts Legacy, but are actually playing it thanks to Avalanche’s early access system.

Twitch personality xQc, whose real name is Félix Lengyel, certainly numbers among the latter, and he’s been putting the offerings of the latest Harry Potter game to the test on his Twitch channel. As you’d expect, large swaths of his community have turned against him for this, but xQc is fending them off in the most on-brand way imaginable: Vulgar language wrapped in an attitude that brooks no nonsense.

Indeed, taking a casual stroll in the wizarding school’s Grand Hall, xQc maintained that his audience is going to stake him for this hot take, but he went ahead and expressed it anyway.

“People fund all sorts and types of evil with their daily purchases across the board, in worse ways than you can even imagine,” he said. “And then you’re going to make everybody feel bad for f*cking purchasing a video game. Bro, you need to f*cking suck my b*lls b*tch!”

At least some parts of his community agree with him on that point.

That’s certainly a point worth pondering, but it doesn’t really address the current Hogwarts Legacy issue. It seems like the Avalanche title has managed to rile up a social media war in and of itself, with one side advocating its purchase with no regard for consequences and another side vehemently opposing anything that has to do with J.K. Rowling.

At any rate, the game is releasing on consoles and personal computers in a couple of days and it doesn’t sound likely that shaming its potential players is going to disabuse them of living out their Hogwarts fantasies after waiting for such an opportunity all these years.
