The follow-up to Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series‘ debut episode arrives tomorrow, promising continued galaxy-wide adventures for Star-Lord and friends. To celebrate the impending release of Under Pressure, Telltale has now delivered a launch trailer that lifts the lid just a little on the events that will unfold, including the promise of some story-defining choices to be made during its runtime.
Under Pressure picks up right after the events of the series’ first episode, with Star-Lord, Rocket and the rest of the gang attempting to decrypt the mysteries of a certain powerful relic that’s found its way into their possession. Details beyond that are scarce, but Telltale has teased previously that “dubious old friends,” as well as “unwilling new allies,” will help them on their quest. Star-Lord’s adoptive father figure Yondu appears in the launch trailer and, given his modus operandi, the Ravager certainly fits into either category.
Besides the above, Under Pressure also promises to delve deeper into Rocket’s past and origins. With the prominent appearance of another sentient animal in the launch trailer, it could be the case that the poor Raccoon has finally found a relatable companion and one that can speak more than three words. Fortunately, less than 24 hours remain until Under Pressure arrives, so you won’t have to wait too long for some answers.
