Ship-based shoot ’em up fans will want to check out Nano Assault, which is available now on the Nintendo 3DS.

Developed by the folks at Shin’en Multimedia, the game tasks us with saving humankind once again. A deadly virus known as Nanostray, is threatening the population with its contaminating properties. As a result, arms must be taken up using ship-based means and shoot ’em up designs.

Game publisher, Majesco Entertainment, promises stunning 3D visuals. Hopefully they will take advantage of the confined environments and designed depth, which were both showcased within the Nano Assault trailer and screenshots we previously posted.

I’m personally looking forward to checking this one out. This is the type of game that has the potential to make good use of the device’s technological proficiencies.
