Instead of releasing later this year as originally planned, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers has slipped into early 2016. Not far, though, as it will now launch on January 26th.

This news comes to us from gamescom, where Marvel and TT Games took advantage of the frenzy to not only announce the intended release date for their anticipated superhero extravaganza, but its cover art as well. That, plus a new set of screenshots featuring the likes of Bruce Banner, The Hulk, Jane Foster and the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will be released for almost every platform under the sun early next year, and will gift those who pre-order it with a Silver Centurion Iron Man minifigure, which will represent one of the game’s many playable character skins.
