While this new look presents a good amount of gameplay, it also serves a different purpose, by introducing a lot of the game’s original content. By that, we mean the stuff that will apparently bridge the gap between what we saw in Episodes VI and VII. Things like unique story stages, Rathtar hunting and searches for hidden secrets.

In fact, there are six new adventures to be found in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and they will all complement the on-foot and space-based action we’ve already been shown.

These new scenarios include:

Rathtar Hunting – Follows Han Solo and Chewbacca’s voyage to capture the ravenous Rathtars.
Lor San Tekka’s Return – Uncovers secrets behind Lor San Tekka’s journey to the Jakku Village.
Poe to the Rescue – Details Poe Dameron’s daring rescue mission to save Admiral Ackbar.
Crimson Corsair– Explores how the notorious Outer Rim pirate, the Crimson Corsair, foiled the plans of the First Order.
Trouble Over Taul– Follows the events leading up C-3PO’s acquisition of his new red arm.
Ottegan Assault– Reveals a puzzle piece to how the Resistance and the First Order find Lor San Tekka on Jakku.

Of course, this means more dialogue for many important characters, which is something that TT Games also has covered. They enlisted quite a few of the film’s actors for additional voice over work as well; some of which can be heard in this brand new trailer.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will turn our favourite rebels into bricks on June 28th.
