With the teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens imminent, it’s safe to say that the beloved IP is very much in vogue. And so, to strike while the iron is hot, Microsoft has debuted a new Star Wars-themed DLC pack for Minecraft, which is available to download from today.

The novelty add-on — which is exclusive to Xbox platforms — is priced at $2.99 and includes a plethora of character skins from George Lucas’ space-faring epic, including the likes of Han Solo, Princess Lea, Luke Skywalker and of course, everyone’s favorite Wookie, Chewbacca. For those who don’t wish to purchase the DLC right off the bat, the publisher confirmed that players will be able to jump into a free trial of the Star Wars-themed content, allowing them to gauge whether or not it tickles there fancy before committing to buying. And hey, if you find it’s something you enjoy, we have good news: Microsoft plans to release new installments of the novelty content further down the line.

In terms of the console version of Minecraft, it’s understood that developer 4J studios is cooking up a hefty update that will see the console version of the world-building phenomenon reach parity with the PC build. Specifically, budding architects can expect to see the addition of ridable horses, more enemies and a tonne of new items in the very near future.
