Montreal-based indie developers Spearhead Games have released a new trailer for their upcoming action RPG, Stories: The Path Of Destinies.
The game will star Reynardo, a swashbuckling fox who goes on a daring adventure to defeat a mad Emperor and end a war. The trailer emphasizes the focus on choices within the gameplay, and how strongly they will impact the unfolding events of the story.
Don’t be too fooled by the game’s bright, storybook appearance, however; it appears to involve some seriously dark decisions, although they are presented with a wry sense of humor. In the trailer, our hero is faced with the tough choice of either saving his adorable bunny friend or acquiring a powerful demon sword (the unsympathetic narrator clearly favors the latter option).
Stories: The Path Of Destinies will have its tale told on the PlayStation 4, but we’ve got no word yet on a release date.
