Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is very much the center of attention of Game Informer’s coverage, what with Naughty Dog’s upcoming sequel being the cover star of the current issue.
And that spells good news for fans of Nathan Drake and co., as it means that we’ve gained access to a bevy of new information about ND’s latest. For instance, just yesterday we learned that the fourth installment would indeed include a multiplayer component, along with an AI companion that has been compared to Ellie from The Last of Us.
Following up on those details is a trio of rather stunning screenshots from the action adventure title — specifically, the portion that was showcased during December’s PlayStation Experience event. Featuring some of the windswept environments, Sam, and Drake himself, the images only offer up further evidence that A Thief’s End is shaping up to be one of the best-looking games of the year.
From the dew on the leaves to the nuanced facial features, Naughty Dog has iterated on a lot of the elements we saw in TLoU and indeed the other three entries into the Uncharted series, meaning that there’s a lot of pent-up hype to see the studio’s PS4 debut up close and personal.
Nathan Drake will return for another round of treasure-hunting action when Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End launches exclusively for PlayStation 4 sometime later this year. In the meantime, you can glimpse some of the action ahead of time by checking out the trio of gorgeous screenshots in the gallery below.
