Almost in an attempt to brush off the January blues, Sony has rolled out its first major PlayStation promotion for 2016. Entitled the Essentials Sale, the Japanese platform holder is hosting a slew of discounts across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita for those in North America.

Running until Monday, January 18, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be pleased to note that their membership opens up an extra discounts, and the list below reveals that console owners can save up to 80 percent off select AAA titles.
