PlayStation Plus Lineup For August 2016 Comprises Rebel Galaxy, Tricky Towers And More

Rebel Galaxy and Tricky Towers are but two of the titles headed to the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection for the month of August.

Come Tuesday, August 2, the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection will be making room for Rebel Galaxy, Yakuza 5 and WeirdBeard Games’ all-new physics-based puzzler, Tricky Towers.

News comes to us via PlayStation Blog, where Sony officially lifted the lid on the PS Plus lineup for August 2016. As always, it comprises six titles divided across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, which will be free to download for members from August 2.

Here’s a rundown of the software bound for the IGC:

  • Tricky Towers, PS4
  • Rebel Galaxy, PS4
  • Yakuza 5, PS3
  • Retro/Grade, PS3
  • Patapon 3, PS Vita
  • Ultratron, PS Vita, PS3, PS4

Patapon 3 and Ultratron round out the selection, and it should be noted that the latter – an old-school arcade title – can be enjoyed across either Vita, PS3 or PS4. Much like Furi last month, Tricky Towers is arguably the most noteworthy game to be included in August’s lineup, given it’s a brand new release.

And with that, August’s PlayStation Plus titles have been revealed. All six will enter the Instant Game Collection on Tuesday, August 2 and will remain free to download for PS Plus subscribers for the remainder of the month.

In related news, yesterday, we reported that Spelunky and last year’s sports simulator WWE 2K16 are among the Xbox Games With Gold lineup for August 2016.
