Resident Evil 4 HD Now Available For Download On PS3 And 360

One of the best games of all-time is making its triumphant downloadable return today. That would be Resident Evil 4 HD, which is now available for the first time on a Microsoft console. It can be purchased through both XBOX Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network for twenty dollars.

I’m really looking forward to revisiting this last generation classic, as it’s one of my personal favourites. There’s no way that it isn’t the best entry in the series. Plus, it’s potentially the best survival horror game ever made.

Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD will follow in a week’s time.

Beginning today, Resident Evil 4 is available for download on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Games on Demand. This release marks the first time that the beloved game will be available in HD. Resident Evil 4 features upgraded visuals and support for Trophies and Achievements.

One of the most critically acclaimed games of all time, Resident Evil 4 catapulted the series in a new direction, with a strong focus on all-out action as Leon S. Kennedy battled hordes of cultists, mutants and mind-controlled villagers. Now available for the first time on PS3 and Xbox 360, the release also contains all the bonus content available in previous versions of the game, including the Separate Ways epilogue.

Resident Evil 4 is rated “M for Mature” by the ESRB and is available for purchase for $19.99 or 1600 Microsoft points.
