With Season 8 having kicked off earlier today, Epic Games has already given us a bird’s-eye view of the game’s updated map, showing off brand new locations like Sunny Steps and Lazy Lagoon. There’s also an active volcano spewing lava north of Retail Row, which definitely explains all the seismic activity that’s been rocking the region of late.

A more thorough breakdown of patch v8.00 can be found on Epic’s official website, but for now, we’d like to draw your attention to the new Battle Pass, which holds over 100 shiny exclusive rewards just waiting to be unlocked. Fortnite season 8

If you’ve already had the chance to dive into it, you’ll probably agree with us when we say that Season 8 looks to be a real game-changer and just what Fortnite needs right about now. After all, with Apex Legends nipping at its heels, Epic has to ensure it’s doing enough to keep people coming back for more, and we certainly think they’ve done just that with this latest update.

What do you think, though? Are you enjoying the changes Epic’s made for Fortnite Season 8? And perhaps more importantly, do you think they’ll be enough to stop folks from turning their attention to Apex Legends?
