It’s that time of the year again, folks.

Epic Games has done away with Fortnite‘s seventh season in order to make room for its successor, which brings with it a ton of new content. The theme this time around centers on two pop culture greats, pirates and ninjas, and aside from having to contend with heavy-duty cannons to reach the loot-filled plunder scattered around map, we’ve also got brand new areas – Lazy Lagoon and Sunny Steps – as well as new traversal options to dive into, all of which will surely shake up the way we play.

In terms of what’s up for grabs this season, well, we understand that there are over 100 shiny new exclusive rewards just waiting to be unlocked via the Battle Pass, and in the gallery below, you can take a look at all the skins that are available. Some of them are pretty wild, too, and we can’t wait to give them a try.

Already we have a few favorites and it’s safe to say that Season 8 is off to a smashing start so far. That’s a good thing, too, as Fortnite is coming off a slow January which saw revenue across all platforms drop 48 percent when compared to December 2018. Then again, this is also the first time that Epic’s megahit will be squaring off against Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment’s new kid on the block that’s beginning to take the industry by storm.

Mind you, it’s still got a ways to go until it truly dethrones Fortnite – if it even can – particularly after Epic generated a $3 billion profit in 2018. And like we just said, Season 8 is looking pretty promising so far, with all the map changes, challenges and more going down very well with fans.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have a match to hop into. That treasure isn’t going to find itself, you know?
