It’s a match made in video game heaven, if we’re being frank, though if Rocksteady Studios is working on a new DC title, it clearly wasn’t ready in time for E3 2018.

Leading up to the industry’s annual video game extravaganza, speculation was rife that Rocksteady was on the verge of unveiling its Man of Steel to the world, only for E3 2018 (and San Diego Comic-Con) to roll around without so much as a peep.

But if a new hiring spree is any indication (h/t Heroic Hollywood), then it would seem the video game developer is very much ramping up production on its mystery Superman title – assuming it is a Superman title at all. An example from the studio’s job section puts out the call for a seasoned Character Artist to join the team:

Rocksteady Studios is looking to add to its family of permanent staff. We are looking for an exceptionally talented Lead Character Artist who is ready for the challenge of leading our character team to produce world class assets for our next AAA title.

Next AAA title, you say? Granted, there’s no guarantee that this refers to Rocksteady’s Superman game, but given the studio’s pedigree and vast experience in the genre of caped crusaders, it would certainly make a lot of sense if its follow-up to Arkham Knight involved the Last Son of Krypton.

A Justice League team-up game is almost certainly out of the question, as it’s still too soon after the Warner Bros. flop. Besides, with Henry Cavill reportedly on the verge of leaving Superman for good, a full-blown AAA video game about the Man of Steel would certainly help ease the pain.
