More legendary Pokemon are on the way this month, courtesy of Nintendo. Special versions of Yveltal and Xerneas – the version exclusive mythical beasts from Pokemon Y & X respectively – and Zygarde will be available to download via Mystery Gift over the next few weeks.
If you own either of the aforementioned games or Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, you’ll be eligible to receive all three of these time-limited special editions, the first of which is available now.
You can grab Zygarde through direct download by accessing the in-game Mystery Gift while being connected to the internet. After you’ve received him, load up your save game and head to any Pokemon Center to receive the creature directly. You better act fast though – the Zygarde promotion ends May 8, although there doesn’t appear to by anything special about this particular version.
Yveltal and Xerneas, on the other hand, are both shiny iterations of their usual selves, meaning they’re not obtainable through normal play and have a different color pallete to boot.

- May 2 – 8: Zygarde
- May 11 – 17: Shiny Xerneas
- May 20 – 26: Shiny Yveltal
As of now, these dates are only applicable to North America – Nintendo has yet to announce a distribution date for Xerneas or Yveltal in Europe; Zygarde is available until May 26.
