Available to those who pre-order the licensed title first come December 1, the add-on is designed to bridge the gap between Return of the Jedi and next month’s The Force Awakens, charting the dying embers of the all-encompassing battle between the Rebel Alliance and Imperial forces on the desert planet. Indeed, it’s the same sun-scorched plains that Daisy Ridley’s character calls home in J.J. Abrams upcoming blockbuster, and the game’s DLC will help seed the ruined destruction seen in the film’s trailers, such as the colossal downed Star Destroyer.

Be among the first players to experience the Battle of Jakku, the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet. Taking place in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor, players will experience the events that created the massive, battle-scarred landscape of Jakku shown in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

If you don’t plan on pre-ordering Star Wars Battlefront, don’t fret; EA has noted that The Battle of Jakku will open up to all users from December 8 onwards, giving everyone plenty of time to indulge in the galactic fights of yesteryears in preparation for Episode VII.

Star Wars Battlefront launches across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 17. In order to gain access to the movie tie-in, you’ll have to pre-order DICE’s licensed title prior to its debut later this month in order to get early access.
