During this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego California, Capcom revealed four more characters that will be joining the cast of the upcoming crossover fighting game, Street Fighter X Tekken.

Street Fighter X Tekken will give gamers a chance to square off using some of their favorite characters from the two famous franchises. Joining the Street Fighter side of Ryu, Ken, Guile, Abel and Chun-Li will be Mr. Elastic, Dhalsim, and Poison. Over on the Tekken side, joining the line-up of Kazuya, Nina, King, Marduk and Bob will be Steve and Yoshimitsu.

Gamers can look forward to Street Fighter X Tekken for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next year. More details on a version of the game for PlayStation Vita will be available in the future.

While it is always fun to be able to square off in “what if?” situations thanks to these crossover games you sometimes have to wonder if companies are taking them too far. Capcom already has Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and a new version on the way, as well as their regular Street Fighter titles, which they continue to re-release. Do we really need another game that looks a lot like both of those titles? While I am looking forward to smashing Abel and Ken with Yoshimitsu’s might I’m still a bit hesitant about another fighting crossover.
