The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild’s Master Edition Looks Rather Plush

Nintendo's pulling out all the stops for The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, not just with the game itself, but the box it comes in. Along with confirming yesterday that Link's next adventure will launch alongside the Nintendo Switch on March 3, the Big N also unveiled a special Master Edition (below picture) for Breath of the Wild. Available to pre-order now at Amazon, Best Buy and GameStop in the US, the luxury package will set you back $129.99, a hefty asking price, for sure, but one that's well worth it for die-hard fans.

Along with a copy of the game, nestled inside the premium packaging will be a Calamity Ganon Tapestry and Weather-Worn map, as well as a commemorative coin, 24-track soundtrack and a swish Sheikah Slate carrying case. Considering the $299.99 asking price of the Switch, any extra protection for its handheld screen is more than welcome. That the case is themed after Breath of the Wild is just an added benefit. Leaving the best till last, the final item included in the box is a Master Sword statue, a perfect addition to any Zelda fan’s collection.

Of course, given the series’ popularity, if you want to secure yourself a copy, you’ll want to pay the aforementioned retailers a visit before they’re all gone – Amazon has already sold out of its Switch stock, after all. If you’re looking for something special to commemorate Breath of the Wild‘s release but don’t want to drop $130, a $99 Special Edition is also available to pre-order, which contains all of the above minus the Master Sword statue.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available March 3 on Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
