Titanfall 2’s Next Free DLC Drops March 30, Adds New Map, Prime Titans, More

Respawn Entertainment and EA have today revealed the next batch of free content headed to all Titanfall 2 players next week. Colony Reborn, as it's so-called, is out March 30 and provides more options for all facets of gameplay, including new map Colony. If that name sounds familiar, then it's likely due to it being based on the classic warzone of the same name from the original Titanfall. This version, however, has been given a makeover and is set among a "sleepy settler town" that's filled with narrow streets and open rooftops surrounded by open Titan lanes, a perfect opportunity for players to put the two new Prime Titans, Northstar and Legion to the test.

Rounding out the remaining portion of free additions are a new weapon – the R-101 – which is billed as a great jack of all trades primary weapon fitted with an ACOG scope, and a brutal new execution, Curb Stomp. Arriving alongside all of that is a collection of new paid-for cosmetic items, including 5 new nose art designs for your favorite Titan as well as one new Warpaint for each. A whole host of Callsign and Camo packs will also go on sale, each of which contains 20 banners and 20 camos respectively.

Game improvements, bug fixes and balance tweaks come as part and parcel of the patch too, although Respawn says the full notes won’t be available until closer to launch day. Last but not least, a celebratory double experience event will run from March 30 through to April 2, so whether you’re a new or lapsed player, now’s the time to get stuck in, by the looks of it.
