Titanfall Getting A Special Edition Xbox One Bundle March 11th

I don't recall a game in recent memory getting as much attention as Titanfall . Well, that's not entirely true - I think Flappy Bird was probably more popular. No mere mortal can hope to match Dong Nguyen's mastery of viral trends, though, and so I think it's only fair to say that Titanfall takes the cake. It's a good thing these new bundles will make it relatively easy to take the plunge on the game. The news of a "Special Edition" Xbox One Titanfall bundle comes via Xbox.com, and it's a pretty good deal considering the console on its own was $499 until very recently. According to a statement from Microsoft Corporate Vice President of Marketing Yusef Mehdi, the bundle represents "something special," and will include the following.

I don’t recall a game in recent memory getting as much attention as Titanfall. Well, that’s not entirely true – I think Flappy Bird was probably more popular. No mere mortal can hope to match Dong Nguyen’s mastery of viral trends, though, so I think it’s fair to say that Titanfall takes the cake. It’s a good thing these new bundles will make it relatively easy to take the plunge on the game.

The news of a “Special Edition” Xbox One Titanfall bundle comes via Xbox.com, and looks to be a pretty good deal considering the console on its own is usually sold for $499 in the US. According to a statement from Microsoft Corporate Vice President of Marketing Yusef Mehdi, the bundle represents “something special,” and will include the following.

To celebrate the launch of “Titanfall”, we wanted to do something special. For those of you who are already fans of Xbox One, we hope this will encourage more of your friends to join you on day one for “Titanfall” on Xbox One. If you’ve been waiting for the biggest game of the generation before purchasing your Xbox One, this special, limited time offer is perfect for you. In partnership with Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts, we’re excited to announce the Xbox One “Titanfall” Bundle, available starting March 11 for $499.99* at select retailers.

Now available for pre-order, the bundle includes:

Download code for a digital copy of “Titanfall”
Standard Xbox One console and Kinect sensor
Standard Xbox One wireless controller
Standard Xbox One Chat Headset
One month Xbox Live Gold membership

The bundle is pretty much a no-brainer if Titanfall interests you, and the Special Edition will likely sell approximately as fast as hotcakes when it hits on March 11th (I’ve heard those sell really well). I guess it’s pretty cool, but I’d much rather an unlocked Windows Phone bundle with Flappy Bird pre-installed. Get on it, Microsoft!
