The Walking Dead Shuffling Onto Zen Pinball 2 And Pinball FX 2 Later This Year

After tackling brands such as Star Wars and Marvel Comics, the team over at Zen Studios is now developing a table based around Telltale Games' The Walking Dead series, which will be available through both Zen Pinball 2 and Pinball FX 2 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Windows PC and more.

After tackling brands such as Star Wars and Marvel Comics, the team over at Zen Studios is now developing a table based around Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead series, which will be available through both Zen Pinball 2 and Pinball FX 2 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Windows PC and more.

Based around the first season of the hit series, The Walking Dead table will take players through a variety of locations visited by Clementine and Lee, including Everett’s pharmacy and the “walker-infested streets of Savannah.” Much like the award-winning series it is based on, the table will also force players to solve a variety of problems, acquire food and supplies, make difficult choices on who to save and who to leave behind and navigate through walker hordes in order to reach safety. I’m not quite sure how a pinball table will be able to capture all of the emotion felt during Telltale’s series, but if any team can pull it off, Zen Studios is the one.

While the general public will get their first glance at the table at next week’s E3 show, according to Steve Allison, SVP of Publishing at Telltale Games, the team already seems quite impressed by what Zen Studios has managed to do with their property.

“Zen knocked it out of the park with their interpretation Telltale’s first season of The Walking Dead as a pinball table. Players once again get to step into the shoes of Lee Everett and protect Clementine as all the major events of season one play a role in the first ever pinball game that features choice and consequence gameplay.”

The Walking Dead table for Zen Pinball 2 and Pinball FX 2 is scheduled to be released this summer.
