9) Batman Beyond
The Batman Beyond TV series, which saw Bruce Wayne hand over his cape and cowl to teenager Terry McGinnis, has a strong fanbase amongst the Bat-faithful. It is not too surprising then that Warner Bros. considered doing a live-action movie version, back when the Batman franchise was in limbo.
Set to be written and produced by the series’ creators Paul Dini and Alan Burnett, a first draft of the script was even penned before the project was swept aside. After The Dark Knight Rises brought the Batman franchise to an end once again, rumours persisted that the Batman Beyond movie had been reignited, but these turned out to be false.
We hope that Warner Bros. take note of the positive fan reaction to the idea and eventually make a Batman Beyond movie. While we love Bruce Wayne, for variety’s sake it would be nice to have someone else under the cowl.
