The Defenders
We’re less than a month away now from the release of Marvel’s The Defenders on Netflix. The long-awaited eight-part series has been in the works for years and fans have slowly been introduced to the quartet of street-wise superheroes in their own solo series since 2015.
Ahead of being dropped on the streaming service on August 18th, then, we have one more trailer to get us salivating. This preview gives us some more classic superhero banter between the uneasy super-friends – Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) – while on the dark side, we have our best look yet at Sigourney Weaver as uber-villainess Alexandra, who has taken the resurrected, amnesiac Elektra – AKA The Hand’s Black Sky – under her wing.
Reviews have been a bit mixed so far, but we’re still hoping that The Defenders is an epic conclusion to the storyline that’s been built up over hours and hours of television over the past few years.
