5) Nebula
Is it an odd choice to pick Nebula over her sister Gamora? After all, it is the green-skinned ex-assassin who we get to know a lot better in Guardians of the Galaxy. While Gamora was well-played by Zoe Saldana, though, we would argue that Nebula is a lot more fun to watch – chiefly because she is a unique character in Marvel movies.
As became a matter of controversy the other month, Marvel are very lacking in the female villains department. As such, to have the thoroughly nasty femme fatale Nebula around is very welcome. She might have been turned into a killing machine by adopted father Thanos, but you get the feeling that Nebula has always been an unpleasant individual.
We look forward to seeing a lot more of her in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, where it is thought that she might actually join the team.
