While we await that all-important first teaser for Avengers 4, fans are getting creative and offering not just their own trailer descriptions but their own trailers, too. And though fakery is tempting in a time where the internet’s liable to latch onto any potential leak regarding the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, some people are learning that it’s often better to present your work for the fan art it is.

This new video, for example, has managed to get quite a few thumbs down on YouTube, and that’s largely because the uploader tried to present it as the real thing. Since then, they’ve chosen to rebrand their trailer as fan-made, and viewed on those terms, the effort’s appreciated. They really should change the title to something more honest, mind you.

As you can see, this trailer refers to the film as “Avengers: Annihilation,” which continues to be the internet’s favorite candidate for the title of next year’s release. But while this alleged leak seems to have floated to the top of a vast array of suggestions, an official confirmation could still be a month or so away, with this big reveal being widely predicted to coincide with the real first teaser.

Until Marvel Studios finally lets us know what we’ll be calling the potentially biggest movie of 2019, even their cast members are seemingly in the dark, with both Karen Gillan and Don Cheadle both recently admitting that they don’t know the name of the very feature they just shot. With Disney being this secretive about the details, you have to wonder how much potential for a leak there really is, and seeing how the team were willing to create fake scripts for Infinity War, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that one or two of the most prominently rumored titles are Marvel’s own red herrings, too.

In any case, the internet may not always be the most reliable of sources, but we can at least sort out the fact from the fake when Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3rd, 2019.
